  • Unemployment between 4-5% under Bush? That was soon after he took office. When he left, it was 7.8% and rising. Also, let's not forget the DJIA and other major indices had dropped by 50% or more. And during the last summer that Bush was in office, gasoline was over $4.00 per gallon.

  • Consumer Reports used to be trusted, but has had to publicly admit a number of their mistakes, including its rubber-stamping of Toyotas as having good quality, when in fact they hadn't even tested them.

  • NHTSA only tested 75 vehicles and found no problem ... not surprising, since we all knew that only a small number of vehicles had the failure. But we know for a fact that those people actually died due to unintended acceleration.
